American Rapper DMX’s Casket Was Brought To His Barclays Center Memorial On A Massive Monster Truck
A huge black monster truck emblazoned with ‘Long Live DMX’ brought the body of the late rapper from his home town of Yonkers to the arena in Brooklyn, New York City, Saturday afternoon. The vehicle was flanked by hundreds of motorbikes, as DMX’s shiny bright red coffin sat on the truck’s trailer
The procession began at around noon in Yonkers — where the rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, grew up. It was led by hundreds of motorcycles, and the rapper’s shiny red coffin was borne on the flatbed of a souped-up monster truck, with “Long Live DMX” emblazoned on the sides of the vehicle.
“Hundreds of bikes, ATVs, cars going down Flatbush in the DMX procession toward Barclays,” one eyewitness tweeted.
The hip-hop legend tragically died earlier this month after a reported drug overdose that triggered a heart attack and left him on life support for nearly a week. Two weeks after his passing, the world will get a pair of opportunities to say their final goodbyes to DMX in memorial services for him that will occur this weekend. With the first is set to begin Saturday afternoon, the rapper was brought to Brookyln’s Barclays Center
