Elon Musk wants proof $6 billion can solve world hunger
“Prove to me that my money can solve world hunger,” Elon Musk responds to WFP after official said 2% of his wealth could solve world’s hunger crisis
WFP Director Beasley specifically called for action from Musk and Amazon.com Inc. co-founder Jeff Bezos, the two men atop the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Just $6 billion could keep 42 million people from dying, Beasley said.
$6 billion would be 2% of his wealth, and such a donation would still leave him ahead of the second richest man, Jeff Bezos, by at least $100 billion.
Elon Musk net-worth is $300 billion, making him the richest person on the earth.
If the World Food Programme, using transparent and open accounting, “can describe on this Twitter thread exactly how $6B will solve world hunger, I will sell Tesla stock right now and do it,” Musk wrote in a Twitter post
