The funeral mass in memory of Congolese businessman Sindika Dokolo, who died last week, takes place on November 17 at 10:30 am in London, Isabel dos Santos announced on social media.
Sindika Dokolo died while practicing a form of diving, locally known as ‘al-hivari’, which does not use breathing equipment and is based on the exclusive use of the air in the lungs.
Dubai police meanwhile said they did not suspect any “criminal act” in the businessman’s death.
The daughter of the former Angolan president, José Eduardo dos Santos, married to Sindika Dokolo, indicated that before the funeral ceremonies a prayer will take place on Thursday in memory of the businessman.
“The ceremony in honor of his life will be on November 5, 2020, at 4 pm in Jumeirah, Dubai”, where the family currently resides and where the businessman lost his life last Thursday, in a diving accident, Isabel dos Santos wrote. The funeral mass will take place on 17 November at Westminster Cathedral in London (at 10:30 am). That same day, at 09:00, there will be a tribute ceremony simultaneously at the National Museum of the Congo, in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo), and in Luanda, the Angolan businesswoman disclosed in Instragam, in a message in Portuguese, English and French. .
The location of the ceremony was not indicated in the Angolan capital.
Isabel dos Santos also thanked, on behalf of the family, “for the support” that has been given to them, “crucial” to help endure this pain. “It has been very difficult to accept this unexpected loss and your words fill our hearts”, acknowledged the businesswoman.
